Victoria is decorated with a large stained glass window with a peacock of 4.5 x 9 m, and this is not just a stained glass window, but a clock. In addition to holidays, on ordinary days the clock does not turn on, but only night lights work. But the peacock is not only on the facade. The only open-air panoramic sea-water swimming pool in Georgia, on a high rock by the sea, is the pride of the Castello Mare Hotel & Wellness Resort. The coastline of Tsikhizdziri faces the West, and the summer sun sets on the center of the horizon. Tsikhisdziri from Georgian means: "At the foot of the fortress." Only 800m from Castello Mare Hotel & Wellness Resort. Ruins of the fortress "Petra". In ancient times, the Lazians lived here and traded through trade routes. In the 6th century, the Byzantine emperor Justinian I built the "Petra", but after half a century, the Byzantines themselves destroyed it in wars with the Persians. 150 years ago Tsikhisdziri was fighting in the Russian-Turkish war of 1877. They are mentioned on the column of Glory in St. Petersburg.
The height of the rock in Tsikhisdziri is 24 meters. 110 years ago Skarzhinsky's dacha Castello Mare was built on its edge. Over the sea hung a balcony, and the garden held a high stone wall with powerful buttresses. According to legend, this cottage Skarzhinsky lost in the cards to the winemaker from Kutaisi Ananov. In the 20th century, the dacha was rebuilt for the Soviet boarding house "Science", and could not be saved. Once upon a time near the boarding house, sculptures of Stalin and Lenin sat on a stone bench.
Rarely, in the winter in Tsikhisdziri is snow, and the temperature may fall below zero. But when this happens, for two or three days sunny paradise turns into a winter fairy tale. Snow falls in large flakes, and the thickness of the snow cover can even reach a record 50 cm. If the guests are lucky enough to catch the snow, then this is the best time for unusual beautiful photos, or to warm up in the OTIUM SPA. The snow will melt as quickly as it falls.
In the rock Tsikhisdziri there is a grotto. But you can't get there from the shore. When there are no waves, it is necessary to swim along the cliff 10-15 meters. On sunny days, in the grotto and near the coast you can catch mussels and mullet. Large stones 20 meters from the shore broke off a cliff thousands of years ago. The depth of the bottom there is about 3 meters. Daredevils climb and dive from them, but this is not safe. From the gazebo on the ledge, from a height of 17 meters, you can see and hear how the waves break on a rock, stones and a grotto.
In October and November, Tsikhisdziri gardens are painted in amazing colors. But the brightest of all is the orange color of ripe mandarins. They grow on trees around the complex, on stepped terraces. Trees are taken care of and trees are harvested every year. In the autumn, guests of the complex can taste the taste of these ripe fruits. The subtropical climate has given life not only to tangerines. There are eucalyptus trees and unique ancient trees. And to the Batumi Botanical Garden is just 15 minutes.

The place was so quiet, welcoming and the people were very nice! No noise but the sounds of the waves and the spa was just ideal with this great view over the Black Sea. The breakfast was tasty, the room was very large and the wifi was working with no problems.
